- MacApp Programmer Wanted

- Management Systems Designers, Inc., a consulting firm in the Washington, DC
- suburbs (Northern Virginia) has an immediate opening for a capable MacApp
- programmer. Good candidates will have more than 1 years' experience using
- MacApp and MPW (Pascal, C, and Assembler, in decreasing order of importance).
- Knowledge of audio fundamentals is a plus. Knowledge of CD-ROM mastering is a
- big plus.

- This person will be working on an existing MacApp project which records and
- plays large quantities of audio data. The existing development hardware is:
- Mac IIx w/8 meg of memory, 330 MB internal disk, 405MB cartridge WORM drive,
- 19-inch SuperMac monitor, Tecmar tape backup unit, dedicated LaserWriter II,
- lots of technical documentation, etc. Hardware to be added for the next phase
- include a CD-ROM player and a DAT.

- While this particular project has a 6-month timeframe, extensions are highly
- probable for continuing good work, and MSD is interested in finding someonw who
- is interested in a long-term relationship. Work is on-site at the National
- Library of Medicine, in Bethesda, Maryland.

- Salary is in the mid 40 to mid 50 range, depending on experience, etc. MSD has
- all the usual benefits, such as health & life insurance, 401K plan, vacations,
- Christmas parties, regular paychecks, etc.
